Headers & Footers is on the Format menu. It opens a window into which you can type text and paste pictures for headers and footers in outline and bullet chart views. Headers and footers are not available in a tree chart view. Click the header or footer icons at the bottom of the window. The title bar displays whether the window is for the header or the footer. MORE automatically positions headers and footers on printed pages.
By default, headers and footers first open with a single tab stop inserted, and center and right tab turned on. This makes it easy for you to position text centered on the page with page number aligned to the right of the page. Choose Tab Stops on the Text Format submenu to change this tab setting. The text you type into the headers and footers window can be saved with the Save Defaults command and automatically used for all new outlines.
You can type any text in the window, just like a document window. The icons on the left side of the window are “hot stamps” that place information automatically at the insertion point; these icons are:
File icon Stamps either the File Name or Folder Name.
Title icon Choose Level 0 Title to stamp the selected headline. Choose Level 1 Section to stamp the current level 1 headline, when the selected page prints.
Page number icon Stamps either Arabic Page Number or Roman Page Number. When printing a table of contents, MORE automatically prints page numbers in lowercase, if you include roman style page numbers.
Date icon Choose either Date Printed to stamp today’s date in the current format of the Date Stamp command or Date Last Modified to stamp the date the file was last saved on disk.
Time icon Choose either Time Printed to stamp the present time in the current format of the Time Stamp command or Time Last Modified to stamp the time the file was last saved on disk.
